Re: Vermont Overland Trophy
Cool! On a side note, I'll be taking a ride to NH tomorrow to scope out a side trip for either on our way to or from VT. Mostly to see how long it will take us to get there and back on our route to help with the schedule.

Are you thinking of the auto road to the top? I think that sticker would look pretty cool on my jeep.

Re: Vermont Overland Trophy
Yessir, it's $26 for a car and driver, and $8 per passenger. The website says about 30 minutes to the top and about 30-40 back down.
http://mtwashingtonautoroad.com/drive-yourself/
Lots of good info about the road and traveling it.
It's about 1:45 from my house so figure 1:30 from Jarebs.

True story. I did see it said no trailers in the vehicle restrictions though.

Re: Vermont Overland Trophy
Scenic route hand picked by Mistah Mike:
Leave Jarebs, find Rt. 2
Start on 2 in ME heading West
Drive through Gorham, NH, don't eat at the Subway, it sucks and is wicked expensive.
Drive up Mt. Washington if you want, it's wicked steep bub.
Left onto 116(Bailey Rd)
Pick up 18 in Littleton, NH(West Main Street)
Left on St. Johnsbury road(18/135)for ~19 miles
Right on Barnet Road(Takes you to Barnet, VT. )
Cross into VT. and take a left onto 5,
Drive half way across the state in a southern direction, enjoy the small towns and scenery,
Turn onto 103(Calvin Coolidge Memorial Highway) and blamo! your in Rockingham.

Re: Vermont Overland Trophy
Yeah, I saw 5 ran right along side 91 on my return trip from NY last month and thought it would be a nice alternative to a 65mph Interstate. I think we will be on that for about 90 miles or so, maybe less. Looks like it will be a solid 4 hour drive if we don't stop to eat or climb Mt. Wash. so we oughta plan on an early start so we can enjoy ourselves along the way.

Re: Vermont Overland Trophy
5hrs 20 minutes according to my calculations, not including NH's lil hillclimb. This includes, in order, from Wayne; 219, 26, 2, 16, 302, 5, 11, Seaver's Brook Rd, Brockway Mills, Rd, 10 Tuttle Rd. Timetravel (minus Mt. Washington) is now 5hrs20min
There's so many options and with this one there is no backtracking (Not saying w/Mike's there is).
But how can I go past Mt. Washington when I'm known as MtnClimber?
