Are you guys taking auto fluids ( coolant, gear/crankcase oil, etc. ) with you? I'm preparing an ammo can with some, just wondering?

    Pack light... skip the coolant.

Reasoning: you can put water in the radiator, but you can't drink coolant.

Bring the other fluids (plus funnels or tubes to get them in into where they need to be).

Prolly a quart of oil, tranny fluid, power steering fluid, and a bottle of brake fluid. All of which are normally stowed thru-out the Jeep.

So is it the " Gang of Four ", it's less than a week away. I'm not bringing my stove, but will bring the lantern with extra stubbies of propane. Also, should I pick up paper plates w/ plasticwear for all of us?

I've taken the 24th off so I can relax and load up, then I'll head on out to Wayne,Me at 2ish, should be at Jareb's between 5:30-6:00.

Jareb thanks for the overnight stay!

Is there a good breakfast place in Wayne before we head out?

Have ya thought about putting some cargo on the passenger side to help distribute the load? That would greatly improve the handling characteristics.

Yes I have, when I load up I'll be placing tools ( two Ammo boxes ) and other heavies on the right side, camping gear on the left. I should fine load wise

I've placed the hi-lift & jerry can ( all of which is 70#, once Gerry can is filled ) on my side so I have an clear range of sight though the deluxe clear plastic window when I need to back up and view on coming traffic!

Just been on NOAA ( according Aroostock airport ), we should have great weather during this excursion!

The next few days they'll have some T-Storm action there, but it'll clear out once we arrive on Thursday, plus, with all of the down pours they've been getting, the ground should be moderately saturated, less dusty, Maybe??
