Eagle Lake Excursion

As stated in the previous Eagle Lake thread. I ( Silvanus ) have been given the opportunity plan an excursion to the Eagle Lake area. I've never been in this position before so bare with me! Anyone in NEO is welcome to join in, one or two with knowledge of the area would be most helpful ( For I am a NOOB! ).

7/20-24 are the days I'm going with. I plan on leaving on the 19th meet up with those who are going, then leave in the morning. It's best we are together when starting out, than me meeting up with group later in Maine!

Also, I hate to impose being that nobody has an clue to what I'm about! I'm looking to spend the night at someones in Maine so we can have an early departure as a Group.

 It's been quite a while since my last excursion, and I'm grateful for this opportunity!

I'm figuring you'll want atleast one 5 gallon can-o-fuel for this trip. Fuel stops consist of Pittston Farms over by 20 Mile, Raymond's in Northeast Carry, and Indian Hill Trading Post in Greenville.

A good-to-great working CB.
Spare parts and necessary vehicle specific tools.
Tire repair kit including fix-o-flat and means to change a flat.
Extrication equipment.
Raingear.
Bug repellent (lots).
Spare batteries for your electronic gizmo's and thier chargers.

Pack light, save fuel, and avoid a headache. But most of all, enjoy the adventure.

I'm getting my Jeep ready ( Putting a new main bearing seal/oil pan today ), Camping gear check ( it's been a while! ), socking away some greenbacks as well!

Waiting on some interested Ovah Landah's to join the excursion???

If there isn't any, then I've got an plan B & C!
Either way, I'll be joinin' you all on some Excursion!

I'm sorry to inform you all that I have pull out of this trip due to financial challenges that have come up ( Furnace combustion motor $487., and singles blowing of the roof, needs replacing this summer )

Don't know what say, I'm truly Bummed!!!

I have been trying to get those days off from work but to many people are out so me and the wife and daughter are planning on doing the trip we are leaving the afternoon on july 25 and do home july 28 in the evening if any one is interested let me no would love to have some more rigs

Leaving from unity then headed up throw newport then to rockwood then camping around the golden road then headed north on friday and camping some where else on Friday night then depending what going on and where we end up on sat we would decide on witch way to head we would be willing to meet people any where along the way or even meet up Friday up buy the golden road

So you're going around Moosehead Lake clockwise. Ironic, I've always gone around counterclockwise

I plan on leaving my house at 3pm puts me in the nmw at 6pm gives a couple of hours to set up camp for the night if that would work for every one a good place to meet would be newport

I was planning on going thru Bingham and arrive in Greenville via all dirt roads. You mentioned Rockwood so I was gonna consult my crystal ball and try to get there around the same time as you, haha
