VOT 14

The second I found out about this event, I added Vermont Overland on Facebook. That's how I found out they were accepting registrants, I saw they posted on my news feed.

I agree with wntrcmpr though, wish they had given more of a heads up somewhere. I doubt it would have changed much since people would bum rush the site anyways to sign up, but it would have been nice to be able to plan ahead a bit.

That being said, I feel really lucky that I was able to get a spot. Looking forward to reping NEO

I signed up when I signed up for the Trophy. Wanted to make sure I go to both. It wasn't announced anywhere from what I can tell, but the registration was open.

+2 agreed. While we chose not run VOT14, I know a lot of people who are very bummed it open and closed so quick, and 9 months before the event opens. No doubt demand for this type of event far exceeds supply....

Is there anyway to have something like this organized more often? Any other venues in the North East?

The Admins and their helpers will be posting a plan soon. I am just a small piece of the puzzle.

    Ahh yes the dreaded inside info. We do feel bad for those who were kinda left out in the cold on the VOT stuff and frankly, some people aren't doing it because they chose not to sign up. VOT 13 was enough for them and the novelty has worn off. But we've got some things in the works that will allow people to explore our neck of the woods and I think people will like what they see when the time for it to go live is upon us. Hopefully just a few more weeks  

I would be down for attending in 2015 for sure. I'm still new to the sport so my skills are not yet up to what is likley required for the VOT. Hopefully I'll get the change to run some trails with everyone this year and be ready to roll the following.

I am also very intersted in exploring up in Maine with you all, so I'll be on the lookout for the news when you post in a few weeks!

Anyone else getting psyched for this? Pretty much all I can think about at the moment    

Unfortunately I'm stuck thinking about the Overland Rally & Workshop in October, and preparing for VOT 2015.

Yet still it's all I can think about! LoL

Greg, do you have any interest in running the VOT this year? Team Northeast Overland has openings as a co-driver or as a team mate.

Since Barrows made this public, I'll fill some people in.
Mike and I were excited for this but life got in the way for both of us and we are unable to make this year's VOT. Mike was my co-driver and Barrows was riding with FJ Boozah.

Both of you won't be making it? Oh boy, that makes me the only NOE member to be going?

Currently the admin have two slots as we did before, just one of them is occupied by Barrows now instead of MtnClimber, but he has no co-driver now. I am also in this same boat as my co-driver was (Barrows) and he picked up that other slot so NEO would not lose it.

At this time Team NEO is looking for two co drivers who would like to make the trek and get their feet wet. One in my rig (FJ Boozah) and one in Barrows rig. Let us know if anyone would like to join. It would be a perfect opportunity for someone to get their first VOT under their belt in a great event all while keeping their rig clean and intact at home. Still brings all the benefits, just none of the carnage to be paid for in the end    PM Barrows or FJ Boozah for more details.

Hahaha. Yeah no worries there! This is a great event and we are doing everything possible to get as many NEO members there as we can. Due to the circumstances, it would really open up the door to anyone who would want to attend now.

I have no doubt that you would represent us well Sourek if and when the time would present itself.

Fjboozer said it well, we are a team and are looking for co-pilots if anyone is interested. It is a blast!
