    Add-A-Leafs Empty Add-A-Leafs

I know AAL are not as good good as a full spring pack, but Im on a smaller budget then most as im in college.
I know they make the ride a bit harder and I have heard some people have great luck and some dont, my stock leafs have no sag and are pretty healthy.

So what im asking is for people who have them or have had them in an XJ, how they felt about them!

I ran AAL for awhile before going to Dakota springs ride was kind of harsh but if your only going to do mild wheeling they should be ok for awhile

I have never had a problem with AAL. I like the stiffer ride my self. (paired with a nice shock) Ifit says 2" Lift it will probably settle down to like 1.5"

If your factory leafs are sagging, AAL's will help get the ride height back to stock+.
If your leafs aren't sagging yet, I'd recommend installing lift shackles such as RC's 1.5/2" adjustable's.
IF, your leafs are sagging, and you install AAL's to get stock height +, you can still add some lift shackles to get the desired height.
When installing AAL's, make sure you use NEW u-bolts!

Can I ask why you're looking into getting them? That would better help the group understand the needs and wants of this procedure.

Is it for looks, function or stance? Have you tried rolling with just a bigger set of tires and seeing if this mix fix your dilemma? Throw us a little more info, and Im sure you'll get some more responses.

I'm looking for a bit more room to fit 31" tires. The jeep isn't going to be a dedicated trail rig, or need a large amount of flex. It's main use will be dirt logging roads with the occasional rough trail. And it's my DD

Sorry, I'm a little late to this thread.

I would recommend running an easy inch. These are 1 inch blocks that bolt to the spring pack (much safer than a traditional block). You can use these in addition to your add a leaf.

I don't know what width your springs are. I run them in the rear of my truck. They also allow axle relocation.

Even though you are on a budget don't forget the cost of new u-bolts. Lift once and lift right.
