I hated the small cumbersome Weber I had been using for 10 years, so just bought one of these:

    http://www.amazon.com/Fuego-Element-Portable-Gas-Grill/dp/B004PZN2SS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404488729&sr=8-2&keywords=element+grill

On sale for 100 bux off.  Its very well made, easy to set up, very compact and heats up great for burgers.  Have not tried fish or foul yet.  Great for a couple, but perhaps too small for a tailgate party or multi truck dinner.

And, oh, BTW, it fits perfectly with two propane bottles in a spare model 150 Pelican case  cheers

Will post up again after a few more uses.

My wife and I brought the unit down to Costa Rica with us and keep it in our truck there.  Very few portable grills in CR and the charcoal that is available makes Kingsford seem like an energy source engineered at the JPL

So after a dozen uses I give the grill a 4.00 rating (out 5) for a luggable gas grill.
    Would I recommend?  Yes.
Would I buy again?  Only at discounted rate of <$100 bux

    Pros:

    • small
      very low gas use
perfect for 2 people (and two kids)
very easy to field strip and clean
Gas controller is easily removable and stows inside
Fit great in Pelican 1500 with spare gas and implements of grilling

    Cons:

    • low profile cover at perimeter (when placed on grill while cooking can touch food)
      ignitor switch tied 3rd use
Not big enough for steaks/fish for 4 adults (four 5" round burgers and a couple dogs max)
rubber carry strap not designed for "continuous duty"...
It lets you know its in the back of your truck on gravel roads

If I can find a second one discounted (for US use) I'll buy it. Maybe even buy third one for spare parts or for bigger camping groups

Well the above grill is NLA....but 20 months of use have proven it a good value.

Looking around for a small grill for US. Many are bulk and seem like they would only last a few year.

    But...I found this one: http://www.magmaproducts.com/Products/Marine_Products/Gas_Barbeque_2/Connoisseur_Series/Trailmate/trailmate.html

Major fancy pants and very spend but seems like it would last a few decades.

I see the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill is in stock and only $79.99 shipped thru Prime. Would you not recommend it anymore?
