How aggressive is the route you'll be taking? This will get you to the Trains right?
You gonna let us camp in your yard Jareb?

Re: Eagle Lake Excursion
Not very aggressive at all, but could be if we wanted it too
We'll be right near the Trains so those are definitely an option.
Camp if you must, but I'll be leaving mid-mernin if you just want to show up then.

Re: Eagle Lake Excursion
I'v copy/paste a list I've used (and revised) over several years for exploring the great North Maine Woods:
This is a 3 day, 3 night adventure! There will be no cell phone coverage above Moosehead Lake! This is a TreadLightly! and a carry-in/carry-out ride. There will be an access fee into the great North Maine Woods property. This is not a hard-core wheeling trip! Here’s a quick list of items you’re going to need!
Let’s start with Rig Equipment:
Specific or “special” tools for you rig
Spare parts, extra fluids, and a spill kit.
At least one full-size spare. 2 are recommended.
A good working CB! Spare fuses and another antenna are rec. (Two-way radios are only used as back-up!)
A 5 gallon fuel canister with..yup, fuel. A siphon is recommended.
Hi-lift(or jack to lift your vehicle for tire changing duties), shovel, tow straps, extrication equip.
First Aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
2009 or newer Maine Atlas/Gazetteer.
Registration, Insurance, and State inspection must be up to date along with your driver’s license!
Now For Clothing!:
Warm clothes of course.
An orange ball cap or vest. It’s bear season up there as of Aug. ???.
Muck boots and hiking boots. Extra socks!
Work gloves, warm hat, wool sox are recommended!
Sleeping bag, fleece blanket, pillow are up to you and your sleeping arrangements. I’d rec. to sleep in your rig, less to pack. A sleeping pad or egg crate is also a good idea.
If using a tent, a ground tarp and one for over the tent is a good idea.
Rain gear too. Cuz you never know.
Mmmm, Food!! Cuz there isn’t delivery up there!
Anything that has a burnable container/wrapper is ideal.
No “tin can” food, please.
Some ideas: Instant oatmeal, crackers/chips, pb & j, bread, cereal boxes, milk, Kool-Aid mix, coffee, donuts, butter, bacon, eggs, whatever you want to eat that doesn’t require much prepping.
Some Misc. Equipment:
Tarp, rope, bungee cords, straps, hatchet/saw, fire starter, paper, matches, flashlight(s), camp chair, EXTRA BATTERIES, camera, GPS, a few cans of bug spray (maybe a headnet too), and fishing gear. Lantern, bathing suit and towel. Trash bag(s), baggies, paper towels. Necessary chargers, power cords and cables for you gadgetry.
Some items such as cooking equipment will be discussed to decide on who’s bringing what. We really don’t need 3 or 4 cook stoves!!
Any Personal Medications, appropriate licenses, and personal hygiene stuff!!
The willingness to have a good time, explore, and be part of a great adventure!
A pre-trip BBQ will be held one month prior to better organize the trip to coordinate who’s bring what. That way we won’t have 17 camp stoves and no lanterns… This will also be a time to go over the trip route in your 2009 or newer Maine Atlas/Gazetteer.

Re: Eagle Lake Excursion
We can always rough-map it out Thursday night when we all meet up. I'll probably food & fuel up @ Indian Hill Trading Post in Greenville before hitting the dusty trail. That would make a great rendezvous point.
I'm familiar with the area we'll be traversing so I can basically show everybody the options we have with the coinciding points-of-interest and go from there!

Will it be $17. per day to camp out, or is it an entrance fee?
Two weeks and counting, I'm feelin' a little giddy!

What? If you mean pay for the entrance fee, we pay individually as they record all yer info and rig info.
Plan on $41 per adult. 2 nights, 3 days. Thursday night, we'll end up in Greenville around 5-6pm and won't even hit NMW property til Friday mid-mernin. Pittston Farm is out of the NMW property and we can camp just outside of there. There's plenty of free overnight opportunities along the way Thursday night. We can top off fuel at Pittston farm and grab some delicious pie for breakfast
