    The threaded end of the front-to-back bolt, is that welded into/onto the "t"-pipe?

    Yes. The dark black dots on the 3 axis coupler drawing signifies welding lines.

    This is very cool....and a lot cheaper than the $200 or so that some of the manufacturers want.

    Yes it is. This is still going strong and Ive had little wear and tear on it, even though I use the trailer quite frequently throughout the month. Its the perfect size for my trailer although a heavier trailer may need slightly larger components.
