Here's an interesting read on the top 10 RTT's done by offroadtents.com

We absolutely love our Tepui Ruggedized Autana and can comfortably fit all of us in it (2 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 65# pitty). The supplied annex comes in very handy during inclement weather and is easy to attach and remove.

That looks like an very comfortable tent. Plus it looks great on the car. I've tried a few over the years, and Tepui is definitely one of the best. Have you ever tried a Hardshell RTT?

I haven't. They are intriguing for sure, but I've been really satisfied with my "softshell" tent Very Happy
If I had a chance to try one for a bit, I'd definitely be up for it!

Is the Annex a PITA to get on with the Tepui? I just got the CVT Mt Shasta Extended and the Annex is kind of PITA to setup.

James, is actually super simple. Slide the backside on by the hinge and then zip it up. After it's all zipped on, then you put the spring rods in/on for the side window canopies.

Btw, forgot to say that I really like the way you set up the tent on you truck!
As to softhsells, yeah traditional seems to be better. I slept on a hardshell ones, and they do seem to be sort of stronger, but frankly, soft shells do it for me price wise and look wise haha

Thanks!! It provides coverage over my tailgate/cooking area and is also alot easier to level out the Taco or tent deployment.
I also believe that the softshell provides more interior roominess (headroom) vs the lower profile hardshell.
